Electrospinning of Micro- and Nanofibers. Y.Filatov, V.Kirichenko.
Moscow: Neft i Gaz, 1997.
This monograph is devoted to the Electrospinning process - the modern technology for microfiber creation from polymer solutions by means of high voltage electrostatic filed. Such fibers are the bases for nonwoven materials called Petryanov Filters and similar products. The book primarily describes electrohydrodynamical and electro-gasodynamical mechanisms of liquid jets formation and solidification. The detailed analysis is given to the influence of polymer-solvent macro-molecular system on the electrospinning process. In addition, this book gives engineering and technological data including main and additional equipment, raw material bases, process parameters for the fiber mats manufacturing. The author also gives analysis of application filed for such materials, its structure and properties.
The authors know that the present monograph will be useful not only for design and production engineers but also for a number of other experts, whose activity in the scientific, industrial, managerial, judicial, educational and humanitarian fields is related to some extent to the problem of protecting the environment and the health of the population.
