Research and Education Center was established on the basis of Karpov Institute of Physical Chemistry and Moscow State University of Fine Chemical Technology named after M.V.Lomonosov, which resulted in organization ofinterdepartmental laboratory of electrospinning fiber materials.

The main goals of interdepartmental laboratory are the following:

• to train the scientific manpower: engineers, masters, graduate students and doctoral candidates specializing in nanotechnologies and polymer processing;
• to develop new micro- and nanofiberous materials using electrospinning;
• to explore new areas of micro- and nanofiberous material applications.

Research and Education Center was created on the basis of long-term co-operation between Karpov Institute of Physical Chemistry and Moscow State University of Fine Chemical Technology named after M.V.Lomonosov, which formed joint fundamental department in 2005 year.

For last 3 years 3 engineers and 6 masters were successfully defended their scientific works on electrospinning process research and graduated from this fundamental department.
